Bolder Horizon Civic Forum
Connecting leaders to spark bold policy ideas for children and families.

The Civic Forum is an intentional space for conversation within the child and family policy community.
We are building a cross-partisan public table to drive deliberation on bold policy ideas.

On our website, we host policy proposals from thinkers across the ideological spectrum. At our public and private events, leaders come together to discuss what’s next in child and family policy.
The Civic Forum is comprised of digital and physical spaces.

Contribute a Policy Proposal to the Civic Forum
The Bolder Horizon Civic Forum hosts cross-partisan dialogue and deliberation to drive transformational policy change. Core to that work is publishing policy proposals from a wide range of thinkers.
Anybody can admire the problem. The real work is envisioning and articulating what should come next.
Too many rooms meant for sharpening policy dull what’s possible by becoming echo chambers.
The best policies emerge from sparks generated by competing ideas, not averaging the unobjectionable.
This is a forum, not an op-ed page; we invite respectful and thoughtful deliberation that is rooted in evidence, not merely advancing an opinion or attacking others.

We invite policy proposals that target our policy and population of focus. We work with authors to hone proposals before publishing for maximal impact and alignment with our submission criteria.
