About Bolder Horizon
Bolder Horizon’s work happens at the intersection of health, human services, and economic policy.

We focus on families who otherwise could come into contact with the child welfare system.
The cycles of adversity and crisis they experience can be disrupted with innovative child and family policy.

We build cross-cutting conversation about reforms for stronger families and communities.
We tackle abuse and neglect, social isolation, complex poverty, economic immobility, and substance use disorders.

Our work is intentionally cross-partisan.
We don’t hide behind unobjectionable consensus. We work with policymakers and partners with wide-ranging views, to lift up bold ideas that unlock the transformative potential behind the broad appeal of child and family policy.
The Bolder Horizon Approach
Decades of bipartisan collaboration on child welfare policy demonstrate opportunities for continued innovation. Yet despite that support, the unsustainable policy status quo is failing children and families.
The crises and challenges families face today make clear the need for bolder policy solutions.
Bolder Horizon is building the civic spaces in which effective cross-partisan partnership can change what’s possible. We cultivate next-generation policy leaders, ideas, and institutions to drive better outcomes for children and families.
